5 day tour from Tokyo to Mt.Fuji, Hakone & Kyoto

Tour Highlights

DAY 1: Arrival Narita - Tokyo
After arriving at Narita Airport, you will be met by our staff at the arrival lobby and then transferred to the hotel in Tokyo by regular airport bus (not accompanied by staff on the bus).
1. If you cannot take the Airport Bus to the Hotel directly, our representative will assist you to take a bus for TCAT (Tokyo City Air Terminal).
2. Upon arrival at TCAT, take a taxi to the Hotel on your own.
3. Provisional payment for the taxi fare (approx. ¥2,000) is required.
4. Ask the taxi driver to issue the receipt.
5. The amount will be refunded by our representative when you arrive in Kyoto in exchange for the receipt.

DAY 2: Tokyo
After being met by the tour guide of Japan Gray Line at the lobby of your hotel, you will join the Tokyo Morning Tour.
Visit National Diet Building (drive by), Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Tower, Imperial East Garden and Ginza Shopping District by coach.
The tour ends at Ginza. You make your own way to the hotel.
Afternoon: Free to do what you would like.

DAY 3: Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone - Kyoto
After being met by the tour guide of Japan Gray Line at the lobby of your hotel, you will join the Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour.
Leave Tokyo for Mt. Fuji and drive up to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Visit Owakudani Valley by rope-way and Lake Ashi by boat.
After sightseeing, leave Odawara Station for Kyoto by Bullet Train. (The ticket is included). Arrive at Kyoto Station, then you will be met by our guide and escorted to Hotel.

DAY 4: Kyoto
After being met by the tour guide of JTB Sunrise Tour at the lobby of your hotel, you will join the Kyoto Morning Tour.
Visit Nijo Castle (Once a residence of the Tokugawa Shogun, the castle is famous for its architectural beauty and interior decoration. Tiptoe along the mysterious “Nightingale Floor”) On Tuesdays in Jan., Jul., Aug. and Dec. when Nijo Castle is closed, the tour will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.
Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion)(Serenity surrounds the gold-leaf covered pavilion designed by a feudal lord as his personal retreat. Walk through the picturesque garden and get rid of any tensions of modern life.)
Kyoto Imperial Palace (visit the former residence of the Imperial Family, the heart of the ancient capital of Kyoto.) (On Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays and certain Restricted days, visit Kitano Tenmangu)
Kitano Tenmangu (This shrine is known as the god of study. Many people go to pray for success in passing the school entrance examination.) On Feb. 25, Mar. 25, Aug. 25 and Nov. 25 when Kitano Tenmangu is closed, the tour will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.
Kyoto Handicraft Center (Observe demonstration of traditional handicraft arts and shopping.)
Afternoon: Free Shuttle bus service available to the hotel.

DAY 5: Kyoto - Kansai Airport
Transfer to Kansai International Airport by JR Train “Haruka”.
(A guide will escort you to Kyoto Station and will assist you with boarding appropriate trains, before seeing you off. The ticket is included)

NOTE:
At Mt Fuji,you will drive up to 4,500 feet from winter to the middle of spring (due to road closures) and some weekends when heavy traffic is expected. It may be necessary to change part of the itinerary (visits and conveyance may be omitted or substituted) and the proposed finishing time depending on weather, traffic conditions and/or operational reasons.

• JR or subway train may be used for pick-up services in the case of heavy traffic conditions.

Important Remarks

• You will drive up to the highest possible point when the road up to Mt. Fuji 5th station is closed due to now or other reasons, or if heavy traffic is expected.
• Hakone Sky Gondola or Pirate Boat Cruise on Lake Ashi may be omitted or substituted due to weather conditions, heavy traffic, or other operational reasons. In such cases, a tour guide shall take you to one or two locations from among the following alternative sightseeing spots. Please note, however, that tour will not be canceled or tour fee will not be refunded.
Alternative sightseeing spots: Hakone Shrine, Hakone Check Point, Narukawa Museum in Hakone, Boat Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi or Kawaguchi Ropeway. The tour will not be canceled or tour fee will not be refunded.
• We recommend you to bring warm clothing during autumn and winter.
• Even if Mt. Fuji and other are invisible due to the weather conditions, the tour will not be canceled or tour fee will not be refunded.
• As a general rule, a tour guide will accompany you on the tour bus back to Tokyo after Odawara station. In this case, the tour guide will not board the Bullet Train (Shinkansen) between Odawara and Tokyo to accompany you due to operational reasons. The tour guide will inform those who are returning by Bullet Train, how to go back to your hotel from Tokyo station before boarding the train.
• In some cases, a taxi may be used for pick-up & return services.
• Due to operational reasons, a tour guide may not accompany you when providing pick-up and return services.
• The itinerary may be changed due to heavy traffic, weather conditions, or other operational reasons.
• Tour starts from Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo at 9:00 a.m..

Cancellation of travel contracts and cancellation charges

[1]If a client cancels the Tour Contract for personal reasons,the following cancellation rate will apply to the tour pare. Clients remaining in the tour will incur the balance of additional per room costs associated with the change in number of participants.
